What is a Family Reading Party?
Much like popular home décor and kitchenware parties, Family Reading Parties allow parents to learn about reading in a fun, relaxed environment.
What will I gain from this training?
You will be trained to facilitate four parties: How to Read to Your Child, How to Choose a Book for Your Child, Building Blocks for Reading, and Taming Television to Build Better Readers. Each participant will receive a Family Reading Parties Kit and Facilitator Certification.
How much does it cost?
It’s free! Each participant will receive a free Family Reading Parties kit containing party materials for 80 parents.
Who should attend?
Adult education and family literacy service providers are invited to attend. Space is limited to 75, so register today!
