Dr. Seuss’s The\u00a0Cat in the Hat<\/em> is widely recognized as a breakthrough in the fight against illiteracy. Dr. Suess was challenged to write a book using only words from a list of 343 words and to keep the book under 225 new words. He wrote The Cat in the Hat<\/em> using only 223 words that young children should know, and the rest is history!<\/p>\nPick up a book and enjoy the day!
