This site offers learners interactive lessons on subjects such as Everyday Life, Math and Money, Computer Training and more. Users will need to register. Registration is free.

GED Practice
Steck-Vaughn's site is a free service provided to familiarize you with the types of items you will see on the actual GED test.

Internet Picture Dictionary
The Internet Picture Dictionary is an online picture dictionary designed especially for ESL students and learners of all ages. There are activities to help remember new vocabulary: flashcards, fill-in-the-blank, word scrambles, stinky spelling and straight recall.

Learning Edge
The Learning Edge is an online interactive newspaper for adult literacy students. It has articles and quizzes for students at various levels.

New User Tutorial
An online tutorial designed to help those who have never used a computer. It concentrates on using the mouse and other skills.

NIFL Special Collection: Numeracy
This collection of activities offers interactive math lessons on subjects such as basic math concepts, money matters and fractions.

PBS LiteracyLink
PBS’s LiteracyLink has online courses for you to practice your skills. You have to register in order to use it, but it’s free.

This is a hands-on site for Spanish speaking students.

Randall’s ESL Listening Lab
This site provides dozens of listening quizzes. There are different topics in each quiz, including Answering Machine, Emergency Call, and Hotel Check-In. Pre-listening and post-listening activities and comprehension checks are included with each quiz.

Read TV News
Use real television news stories to build listening and reading skills. Choose a news story to watch, read a written version of that story, and take a quiz or do activities based on the story.
