The Florida Literacy Coalition is pleased to announce newly updated facilitated online tutor training courses. Developed to support a blended learning experience, these courses are designed to provide instructional fundamentals to new tutors/teachers in areas such as how adults learn, phonemic awareness, the components of reading, language experience stories, lesson planning, and more.

In addition to using the latest course authoring tools to enhance the look and feel of the course, FLC has added new demonstration videos, knowledge checks and content. Sign up for the next round of Free facilitated online courses!

Courses:

Basic Literacy Course - Prepares tutors to teach basic reading and writing skills to adults.  

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) - Prepares tutors to teach limited English proficient adults to read, write, speak, and understand English.

November 20 - December 11, 2023 (both courses)

The courses will be facilitated by Marilyn Cox, a Proliteracy certified trainer.  To sign up for either course, please fill out the registration form. Please register by November 15.
