Criterion referenced exit tests for the ESOL Literacy Course and Core ESOL Course have been developed and are available to practitioners throughout the state of Florida . The tests assess the mastery of the standards and benchmarks in the curriculum. These were created by writing teams in Broward County and were funded in part by the Adult ESOL Practitioners Task Force and by the 2003-04 Florida Department of Education, English Literacy and Civics and Family Literacy State Leadership Grants.
