Greg Smith has served as the Executive Director of the Florida Literacy Coalition since 2002. Prior to joining the Coalition, Greg served for 13 years as Executive Director of the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia, Virginia’s oldest and largest community-based literacy organization. He holds a Master’s Degree in Adult and Continuing Education from Virginia Tech and currently serves on ProLiteracy America's Public Policy and Advocacy Committee, Chair of the Council of State Organizations and Chair of the Health and ABE Issues Group of the Open Door Collective.

Susan has had a 30-year career as accounting professional serving in local government, first at the Orange County Comptroller's Office, and then at a county-wide special district in northern Vermont. She earned a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Georgia State University, has held a Florida CPA license since 1987, and has maintained professional memberships in the American Institute of CPAs and the Government Finance Officers Association. Susan lives in Winter Springs, is active in church and other volunteer activities, and enjoys spending time with her two children and two grandchildren.

Alison is a graduate from The University of Florida with a Master’s in Public Health. Her experience includes healthcare, health communication, and crisis counseling. Additionally, she worked throughout her undergraduate career as a Research Assistant at a Neuro-psychology lab with The University of Central Florida. Alison is passionate about health and financial disparities and enthusiastic to help those most affected learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Dana is a native Floridian from Gainesville. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies, and her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Bilingual Education and ESOL from the University of Florida. She spent five years working as a classroom teacher in the US and Spain before transitioning to her current role. She is excited to bring her experience and expertise as an ESOL teacher to support family literacy initiatives throughout the state.

Originally from Brazil, Giovanna earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and a master's degree in Communication from the University of Central Florida, where she acted as a Graduate and Research Associate before joining FLC. She is passionate about the environment and has earned awards from the Society of Environmental Journalism, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Florida Communication Association.
