Southwest Airlines and the Florida Literacy Coalition are providing local adult education and literacy organizations with the opportunity to raise funds for their local literacy efforts! Your community or library-based program could be one of five to receive two (2) round-trip e-pass airline tickets to any Southwest destination. Tickets must be used between April 15, 2025 and April 14, 2026.

How to Apply

Complete the application form below and attach a 1-2 page (12-pt font, single-spaced) document with the following information:

• Description of your organization/program.
• How you would use the donated tickets to raise funds or otherwise support your program.
• Describe how your organization will benefit from Southwest Airlines e-pass tickets.
• If you will use the tickets for a fundraiser, please provide the approximate date of the fundraiser and fundraising goal. If tickets are to be used for other purposes, please detail how your program will benefit.
• If the tickets will be auctioned or distributed during an event, please allow at least 4 months between the time of the event to the ticket's expiration date, to give the recipient ample time to use.
• Brief statement as to how Southwest Airlines will be recognized as a supporter.
• Describe how you will use social media to promote the fundraiser or project, if applicable.

Southwest Airlines has allowed charitable organizations to use e-pass tickets in limited online auctions. The e-passes should be listed as one of a selection of items for a designated fundraiser. Bidding is limited to the organization's membership and local supporters and not for the general public or through third parties, i.e. Ebay.

Eligible Applicants: Florida-based nonprofit organizations and library-based programs working in adult literacy, ESOL, and/or family literacy.

Deadline and Selection Process: Submit your request by 5pm on November 26, 2024. An independent review committee will select the recipients.
