Census 2020 Adult Education Campaign

We are excited to share that FLC received a grant from Florida Counts to conduct a statewide adult education campaign to promote and support participation in the 2020 national Census. Adults with limited English language and literacy skills have historically fallen into one or more groups in the hard-to-count category in each census count. There is a lot at stake for Florida communities. You can play a key role in informing your students about the census, why it's important, and what to expect.

Census Resources

Adult Education Census Kit

FLC will send promotional kits to 25 adult education and literacy providers. Each kit contains:

A full-color Census promotion banner with school logo and county
Census information flyers and sample census forms to distribute to your students
$100 in gift cards to support your Census promotion efforts
Florida Counts-branded aluminum water bottles for student giveaways (5-12 depending on number of students)

How to Request a Kit

Complete this form to request a Census promotion kit. If your organization is chosen, we will contact you to arrange shipping. We request that all kit recipients have a representative attend one of FLC's upcoming Census training webinars on March 30 or April 1. Register for a webinar in the Census Training Webinar section below. There is a limited supply, so apply soon!

Open to all Florida-based adult education programs and schools. Preference will be given to programs that can reach 100 or more students.
