2019 Conference Highlights

Thanks to all of you who contributed to another successful conference! This year, the 35th Annual Florida Literacy Conference was attended by over 400 participants and provided more than 65 professional development sessions for adult literacy tutors, teachers, and program administrators across the state.

Carrie Stack, founder of the Say Yes Institute, spoke at the opening general session sharing the importance of taking positive, proactive steps to help build confidence and emotional intelligence to maximize success. Denine Torr, Senior Director of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, gave the closing keynote address, making an eloquent case for the importance of supporting adult literacy and the tremendous impact of such efforts.

A wonderful cross section of informative workshops were presented throughout our time in Daytona Beach, and FLC really appreciates all those who volunteered their time and expertise as presenters.
