Online Health Literacy Training Course

FLC is pleased to announce the release of the online Health Literacy Teacher and Tutor Training Course. This free, self-paced course is designed to provide instructors with the tools, resources, and knowledge to effectively incorporate health education into their instruction.

The two-hour course introduces the award-winning Staying Healthy curriculum and includes modules on understanding health literacy, designing an effective learning experience, and enhancing students' basic skills through the use of health activities and projects. When health literacy is incorporated into adult education curriculum, students have the opportunity to improve both their understanding of essential health information as well as English language and literacy skills, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
