Do you know an adult learner with an interesting story to share?

Successful students, often eager to give back to their programs, can provide a unique and compelling perspective on how lives are changed through adult education and literacy.  This dynamic workshop prepares adult learners to become effective advocates and spokespeople for their organizations and the adult literacy cause.

Adult learner sessions will include:

  • Introduction to Effective Public Speaking
  • Developing and Making Presentations
  • Adult Learner Involvement and Leadership
  • Conducting Interviews with the Media
  • Adult Learner Advocacy

This workshop will work with adult learners and program representatives as a team.  A special session for program staff will address Public Relations, Marketing and Recruitment Strategies and discuss ways to create opportunities for students to share their stories through various channels such as news media, social media, and community outreach.
